Marguerite Web Design Terms & Conditions
Terms & Conditions
Marguerite Web Design will only commence work on a project after receipt of a deposit of one half of the quoted Project fee (if payment is made by cheque then upon cheque clearance). This deposit is non-refundable however it will be deducted from the total cost of the website. The balance should be paid on completion of your website, before the site is activated.
The cost of your website does include a reasonable amount of text changes before the site goes live.
The acceptance of a commission shall be deemed as a contractual agreement between the client and Marguerite Web Design.
Purchase of your Domain Name and Hosting will be done once the remaining balance is paid in full (or upon cheque clearance of your remaining balance). Once the remaining balance is paid in full, your site will then be uploaded to your new server and submitted to the search engines. If you already have a domain name then there is a chance that this can be transferred to your new hosting provider at no extra cost, however any costs incurred in transferring your registered domain name will be payable by you.
Once built and uploaded your website belongs to you however design rights remain the property of Marguerite Web Design and as such I reserve the right to include all design work in my portfolio. In the case of a WordPress site, the site is backed up on the server only so failure to keep up renewal payments to your web host will result in the loss of your website.
I will optimise your site for the Search Engines using Meta Tags and Title Tags and try my best to get you found locally on the first page of Google however this is a free service and as such Search Engine placement is NOT GUARANTEED.
I am happy to set up e-mail addresses on your server for you and forward them to your personal e-mail address(es) if required, however setting up your e-mail on an e-mail client on your personal computer and backing up your e-mails is your responsibility.
All invoices should be paid immediately. Any invoices that remain undpaid after a 30 day period will receive a reminder that payment is overdue. If the outstanding amount is not paid within the extended 14 day period then your website will be suspended.
Marguerite Web Design does NOT accept responsibility of any images supplied by the client.
